Blog time 1200 at Panera

We all get up at 0630.  I go out with Nancy because we have to get a stool sample from Ms P.  Mission accomplished.

Nancy left first thing for senior’s time at Meijer’s.  She has a big list of needed items.

I do calisthenics before breakfast.  It was 72 when headed out on my morning ride.  It was sunny.  High today will be in low 90s.  A lot of foot traffic on the trail.  Folks wanting to get their walk in before it gets too hot and humid.

Shaved and showered as soon as I got home.  Hopped on bike and pedaled to Panera.  Purchased coffee and a bagel before starting my morning reading.

Panera was nearly empty.  Customers have not returned to the pre-Coronavirus levels.  I think there is a reluctance to sit in a closed environment with folks you don’t know.

This and that:

Coronavirus dominates the news.  I don’t think things will ever get back to normal until we have a vaccine.

The weather folks say we are having a heat wave with over a week of 90 degree temps.  I like this weather and hope it continues.

The heat has not discourage walkers.  We have a steady stream of walkers passing our condo.

Courts have recently been blocking petroleum pipelines.  The country needs these products.  It seems we have written laws that allows small groups to block important project.  Projects that should be completed in months now take years because of the legislation.  A real shame!

Got home at 1300 and had a quick lunch.  We have a 1400 appointment at the Vets.

Because of the Coronavirus we never left our car at the Vets.  After checking in a nurse took Ms P in to see the Vet.

Nancy and I thought we could have a face to face with the Vet.  We wanted to talk about end of life issues with Ms P.  Never saw the Vet.

The Vet ran a number of tests.  We were surprised that Ms P’s tests showed her near normal for a 16 year old dog.  Bottom line Ms P will start taking anti seizure pills.  We will return to the Vet in two weeks.

Ms P badly needs a grooming but the Vet wants to see how she responds to the new medication.  We made an appointment to have her groomed in two weeks.

At home I took and nap followed by an apple snack.  For dinner Nancy fixed a ham and scalloped potatoes dish.  Also had a salad and muffin.  Very good.

Tonight after the news we watched an new detective show set in Ireland.  We need to watch another episode before giving an opinion.

FaceTimed with both Debbie and Missy today.  We gave a positive report.

Took Ms P out at 2200 and it was still hot and humid.  Left the AC on.  Turned it off at 0300 this morning.
