Blog time 1730 sitting in den;

Breakfast Club Wednesday:  up with alarm at 0515, dressed and headed out.  Made quick stop at Panera for a coffee to take with me.

Small turnout this morning which is a shame because the food was good as was the Speaker.  The Speaker talked about her organization Be Nice.  It is a mental health non-profit that educates businesses and public organizations.  It was a good talk.  Yours truly gave the invocation.

After BC drove to Breton Village to visit the Orvis Store.   Orvis was not open so I got the Escape washed at Breton Village Auto Wash.

Drove to Woodland Mall, walked a mile in the Mall before stopping at Starbucks for a coffee and a chance to read the papers.  My watch battery seems weak so I asked a nice lady at the Apple Store if it can be replaced.  She said no.  I can trade in my old watch and get a $75 credit.

PONTUS’s staff turmoil and the Nationwide School walkout dominated the news.  The UK papers headlined the poisoning of the Russian spy and his daughter.

This afternoon Nancy is working at the Garden’s.  I had a quick lunch and then started doing laundry.  Took out the trash and then a nap.  Finished the afternoon with a walk and picked up corn cobs in the back yard.

Nancy said the Gardens were very business this afternoon.  They have a great crop of butterflies.

Light dinner, followed by the news, Jeopardy and then a streaming show, Inspector Lewis.

It was sunny today but with temps in the 30s and a high wind walking was unpleasant.  Tonight the temp drops to mid 20s.

On this day in 1938, at Ossineke, Mi my Great Grandfather Sanborn  wrote that the morning temperature was 22 with a NW wind.  He noted the Devil’s River was quite high.  It was over Bingham’s fill.  GGF noted the newspapers had a lot of foreign news.  GGF was active in public service.  He served two terms in the Michigan Legislature.
