Monday September 3, 2018, Labor Day

Blog time 1720 sitting at dining room table

The rains continues.  It was still raining when first went out.  The ground around the condo is totally saturated.  It is like walking on a sponge.

For breakfast Nancy and it headed to Bob Evans.  We both had eggs, over easy, and hash browns.  Nancy had bacon and a biscuit and I had link sausage and sourdough toast with pb.  Good breakfast.

We stopped at home picked up Ms P and headed to Williamston, Michigan.   Williamston is east of Lansing about a hour’s drive from GR.  Pleasant drive.

The corn looks ready for picking but the ground might be too wet for harvesting equipment. Farmers are alway at the mercy of weather.

Today we visited the Antique Market.  We were both impressed with the large selection.  The merchandise was displayed in an neat and organized way.  Nancy made several purchases.

We headed home about noon.  The traffic on the freeway going east was bumper to bumper.  About twenty per cent of vehicles were pulling a trailer.  We assumed they were returning from a weekend at the beach.

At home I took a short nap. Light dinner tonight followed by some TV.

Told Nancy this morning that I am observing Labor Day.  No exercises today.  I kept my pledge.
