Blog time 1130 at Panera

Heavy rain most of the night.  Up at 0600 and took Ms P out. The rain had stopped. Temperature was 59.

Thursday so Nancy headed out early for her swim at MVP.

After breakfast I took a hilly route to the Y.  Wanted to avoid the dangerous Burton/Spaulding intersection.  The new route had more problems than my standard route.  Laraway Lake Road had just been seal coated.  The new stone surface was treacherous.  Because of all the loose stones I had to avoid the shoulders and use the center of the traffic lane.  Heavy car traffic so had to move to  the area of loose stone at the road’s edge.  Not a good move on my part.  Tomorrow I will be back on my standard route. Will just use special care at the Spaulding/Burton intersection.

Calisthenics and walk at Y before heading to Panera.  Encountered light sprinkle and cool temps, 50s.

What I think:

Climate change is real.

President Trump was wrong to interfere with the travel plans of the two women Representatives.
Red shirting of college athletes is wrong.  Four years is enough.  Several college football players already have their degrees.  Too much.

Calling politicians by just their last names is not polite.  How about, President Trump, not Trump, Senator Sanders, not Sanders.  And Senator Warren should never be called Pocahontas.

I will never give up meat.

I think foreign interference in the BRexit vote led to its passing.  Of course I have no proof.

Free trade and immigration are good for USA.

Got home from Panera at 1300.  Shower, lunch and quick trip to Home Depot.  Our dryer is acting up.  It was purchased at Home Depot in 2007.  Home Depot does not repair LG dryers.  They gave me an 800 number to call.

The nice thing about Sears was they serviced what they sold.  Next appliance will be purchased at full service dealer.

Fixed our apple snack when got home.  Ended the afternoon with a short nap.

For dinner Nancy fixed clam chowder with fresh Indiana sweet corn.  Nancy bought the corn at a farmer’s market in Terre Haute.

Fixed Nancy her cheese/cracker pill snack.  Watched NPR news and Jeopardy before switching to Apple TV.  Watched an episode of Midsomer Murders before turning in.
